About the Ontology of Actions

Philosophers, physicists, and cognitive psychologists, as well as many other scientists in their areas of research, have been dealing with the question of how the world is constructed or in a human-centered view its structure is perceived by us. This central question and related ones have occupied thinkers for thousands of years, going back at least to Aristotle. In the meantime, descriptions of the physical material world, partially based on and reflected in studies and models of the visual system, have been well developed, at least compared to other areas of perception and thinking and aspects of the world. Particularly and inherently difficult seems the (formal) modeling of dynamic aspects of the world, i.e. concepts which have a time-related dimension, like actions, plans, and events.
